Back at Rasa!

DJ Safri will be playing at Rasa again. This is big news; it’s three years ago since he last played at this well-known worldmusic stage in Utrecht. Safri actually started his career as Global Dance DJ at Rasa, way back in 2002. He initiated and became resident DJ on the monthly Mystic Grooves party’s at Rasa in 2003. These party’s with the best ‘CousCous Grooves & Basmati Breaks’ became hugely successful. Safri also played at Rasa alongside many live-acts and was resident on the first Balkan/gypsy clubnight in Holland. Until it all suddenly ended in 2006....

But that’s the past. Safri is very happy to play at Rasa again. On thursday 15th of October, there is a Gypsy/Balkan night at Rasa with a live performance by Kočani Orkestar, a great brass band from Macedonia. And Safri will be hosting the afterparty. [For details: see the flyer]

DJ Safri is also featured in a new commercial campagne for Rasa. One Utrecht city bus is covered with an ad called “Rasa: the place to discover music!”. It can be spotted for one year all over the city!

GlobaLoca! at SJU

Starting Thursday 24 September, GlobaLoca! is back at the SJU club in Utrecht. GlobaLoca! is a monthly Global Dance Night, where bands and DJs take you on a rollercoaster trip around the world. Safri is one of the resident DJ’s, together with his friends Bertú & Trevo.
Next editions: 29 October (with Polkanaria live) and 26 November (with Kasba live!).
